This is the latest monthly figure available as of September 25, 2025, and C.A.R. reports do not typically include a separate year-to-date median price; instead, they focus on monthly medians and year-to-date sales volume (which was down 0.4% through August). Data is compiled from over 90 local REALTOR® associations and multiple listing services.  According to the California Association of Realtors (C.A.R.), the current median monthly mortgage payment for a single-family home in California is $5,810 as of the second quarter of 2025.

Vacant Residential Land Market

In 2024, the median land price dropped sharply by 28.4% to $340,000, reflecting a significant correction after a strong 2023.
