Market Update for Mammoth Lakes – August 2017

Here is a quick snapshot of the residential market in Mammoth Lakes as of September 1, 2017.

Single Family Homes:  As you can see, the median price for single family homes are down just slightly for the year, but improved by about 2% vs. last month. The median price for a single family home in Mammoth Lakes is $700,000.

Condominiums:  Condominiums continue to outperform those median prices observed in 2016.  As of September 1, 2017 the median price of a condominium was $325,000, up 18% over 2016’s median price.  This uses a data set of 258 sales.  Increases in condominium pricing is attributed to the popularity of websites such as AirBB and VRBO.
