While 2011 to 2015 produced some very challenging winters, summers in Mammoth Lakes have been record setting for the past five seasons.  This is largely due to new special events in Mammoth Lakes and the improvement of those events already in place.

Mammoth Moto-X

Historically the event season would not really kick into gear until the beginning of July, but over the past 5-years the Mammoth Motocross has enhance the marketing efforts of this June event by partnering with Monster Energy Drink.  Additionally, the Mammoth 1/2 Marathon and 5K (a relatively new June event) started off running with 1,200 runners and has been growing since.

Music Festivals like Bluesapalooza, Mammoth Margarita Festival, Mammoth Reggae Festival, Villagefest, and of course our sponsored event Mammoth Rocks & Taste of the Sierra are signatures events for Mammoth Lakes making our summers rock.

Wayward Sons-Mammoth Rocks

Labor Day generally signifies the end of summer in Mammoth Lakes, but the re-introduction of the Mammoth Kamikaze Bike Games has made sure the fun continues as we enter fall season. This event brings legends from the mountain biking industry, and why not… on mountain, mountain bike racing started in Mammoth Lakes.
